Bestiary will whimsically showcase an array of artists’ interpretations of the world through literal and abstract animal imagery. GSAA and LCA are pleased to include works by : Christopher Adams, Randy Bolton, Phyllis Bramson, Laurie Hogin, John Kindness, David Kroll, Sandy Litchfield, Jacquelyn McBain, Julia Randall, Jennifer Wynne Reeves, Anne Siems, Kiki Smith, and Melanie Christine Warner.

Littlejohn Contemporary presents:
Annette Davidek: Paintings
January 29 - March 2, 2013

Annette Davidek's paintings are derived from diagrams of plants, organic life forms as well as old technological illustrations. Her paintings personify processes of movement and growth in action as well as shape. Her syrupy lines often bleed, or dissolve, into the wood, and this fuzziness becomes a pictorial
equivalent to energy. She employs repetition for a fundamental and formal purpose: mimicking the replication of development and the dynamic of movement.

Garvey Simon Art Access presents:
David Morrison: Spring microcosm
March 5 - April 6, 2013

David Morrison challenges the idea of what is cherished in nature by celebrating the beauty of the over-looked and the imperfect. Found broken branches, a peeling sycamore tree, bug-eaten leaves and flower buds provide fodder for his newest body of work. Using colored pencil on paper, Morrison delicately showcases the molecular vastness of these discovered fragments of nature. His work offers an intimate and introspective connection with each of his humble subjects.

Littlejohn Contemporary presents:
Anne Siems: Healing
April 9 - May 11, 2013

Ann Siems’ paintings are filled with worlds of verdant landscapes, ghostly lace, and highly stylized folkloric portraits and still life tableaux. The artist examines ideas about life and death, sensuality, sexuality, nature, and experiences in the realm of dreams, psyche and the spirit. These attributes celebrate the mysteries of life without giving a specific narrative, leaving a residue of history, forgotten beliefs, and the natural world.

Garvey Simon Art Access presents:
Peri Schwartz: Watercolors & Drawings
May 14 - June 15, 2013

For the last decade, Peri Schwartz's primary subject has been the interior of her own studio. One might expect this narrow subject matter to be limiting. On the contrary, the exercise has allowed Schwartz to uncover a seemingly boundless reserve of compositions, colors, and surfaces. Her introspective vignettes demonstrate the simple elegance of a cluster of jars and painting tools arranged on a table, well-used art books stacked on an industrial stool, or of sunlight reflecting on glass.
