Sung Won Yun received a BFA from the College of Art and Design at the University of Suwon, a Master of Fine Arts at Sungshin Women's University in Korea in 2003, and a second MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in affiliation with Tufts University in 2010. Her work has been exhibited throughout the Northeastern United States, South Korea, and Japan. Recent one person shows include Congeries of Time at Blank Space Gallery, New York in 2016, Properties of Tranquility at LaGuardia Community College, Long Island City in 2014, and Time in Between at Merced College Art Gallery, Merced, CA in 2013. Her work has been reviewed in the Boston Globe, News Press, and Artplus. Her work is also included in the public collection at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Research Library. She was the Cooper Union Artist in Residence in 2015 and the recipient of the Helene Wurlitzer Residency in 2013. The artist lives in Scarsdale and works in New York City.
